Over the years, we've posed several Ethical Conundrums, most recently here. This one's difficult: Amelia is retarded (aka developmentally delayed) and has poor kidney function.She is, in all probability, dying.
And she is a toddler.
Here's the problem:
"Did you just say that Amelia shouldn’t have the transplant done because she is mentally retarded ... This phrase. This word. This is why she can’t have the transplant done?
Yes."
So, is this a Death Panel?
